Happy Roasting!green coffee beans 10 pounds Colombian natural Anaerobic process .tasty coffee Wow what a fantastic coffee! Only about 2000 pounds produced of this fantastic coffee! If you like the Wush Wush than this is one to try! It is more on the juicy fruit and chocolate notes and slight roasting variations changes the cupping notes. I roast small amounts because you really can not hear cracks. Also I try to keep it in the beginning of first crack so you get some raspberry flavors. The way this coffee is processed it is very time consuming for the farmer and we pay a premium for higher cupping coffee! I will be sending some proceeds from this sale back to the family so they can get some help with finances and especially this year because fertilizer costs are so high. This is a direct trade with this small farm. Finca La Candela belongs to the Lotero Cano Family. Alberto and his family owned some lots already but most of the farm was acquired then. There are currently 10.000 threes on the plantation but this family started out with 4.000. Alberto Lotero and Gloria Cano met in 1985. Today they are a family of five, two daughters and one son. The Lotero family is a clear example of a traditional coffee producing family in Colombia. They are hard working and family oriented with strong values and principles. Origin: Colombia. Subregion: Southwestern Antioquia – Loma del Guamo Village – Titiribí Town. This uniquely sweet, heirloom variety coffee is named for Ardipithecus ramidus, an important early human fossil discovered in Ethiopia. Since first tasting these striking beans, Keffa has worked closely with partners in Sidama to ensure care and quality in the processing, sorting, storing, and shipping of this special coffee. The Sidama region’s rich soil lends rich nutrients and deep color to its coffee. There are few views as striking as a hillside washing station with more than 300 raised beds full of crimson cherries drying in the sun. Good weather mean good coffee, and this year’s harvest of Ardi is bountiful and flavorful thanks to healthy rainfall during the growing season. After small farmers harvest their coffee and bring it to their local mill, hundreds of skillful workers continue to sort out overripe and underripe cherries. The coffee dries on raised beds for 8-10 days, and is rotated every 30 minutes to promote even drying. The time spent on the raised beds is complemented by 2-3 days of final drying on a concrete patio. This careful attention during natural processing ensures each bean carries the full, distinctive Ardi flavors and aromatics. THIS IS THE NEW CROP! The picture shown is of the smaller 2 pound sack but you get the larger 5 pound sack. FANTASTIC NATURAL PROCESS COFFEE! A MUST Try! It is not roasted.
